Buzz Seaton, a multigenerational grower, farms this vineyard on a hillside in northwest Dry Creek Valley. His head-pruned, dry-farmed Zinfandel vines are nearly a half-century old and produce an intense, rich wine that's aged in French oak and bottled unfined.
Tasting Notes: This elegant wine has rich nuances of spiced cherry, raspberry, jasmine, vanilla, and subtle hints of cardamom. The palate echoes the nose with rip cherry, blackberry pie and nutmeg up front, followed by earthy and dusty notes of forest floor and clove. Medium in body, this reserve Zinfandel features fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity.
