Although the Florence vineyard is oftentimes above the fog layer, there remains a definite marine influence, a Rockpile signature. With a hillside aspect, clay loam soils, and warmer temperatures than Dry Creek Valley, this site is set up for success and produces award-winning wines year after year.
Tasting Notes: Opening with a nose of blackberry, the aromas unfold with hints of dried sage and flint. Flavors of fig jam and cassis lead to a lush and concentrated body with dusty tannins.
